Madelaine Lucas is an Australian writer, editor and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. Her short story "Ruins" was awarded the Elizabeth Jolley prize in 2018, and her non-fiction writing has appeared in Paris Review Daily, The Believer, Literary Hub, Catapult and The Lifted Brow.

She is a senior editor of the literary annual NOON and an MFA candidate at Columbia University, where she has taught workshops in the Columbia University Undergraduate Writing Program and Summer High School Program.

As a singer-songwriter, she has also released several records with her projects Devotional and A Casual End Mile.
